As the weeks passed, the pain got worse. Soon it didn’t go away at all and I felt a persistent ache during my workout.

And still, I ignored it. (Hey, I’m a stubborn guy.)

Eventually, the deep pain was driving me crazy. It never went away. Even during the day when I wasn’t working out. And especially at night when I was trying to fall asleep. It didn’t matter how many different positions I tried as I tossed and turned. I was losing sleep. Something had to be done.

Well I tried a bunch of things. None of them worked.

Stretching didn’t help.

Neither did letting my shoulder rest. All this did was frustrate me further. Imagine knowing you’re letting your shoulder get weaker and weaker but it STILL won’t heal!

Pain mediation only masked the problem. And it sure didn’t help when my hurting shoulder started weakening and my progress in the gym came to a grinding halt.

This is to thank you so much for the solution to my shoulder pain. In fact I am guilty of sending this in quite late. I live in Mumbai in India and went through a very bad patch with severe pain in my right shoulder before I came across your book.

My right shoulder pain started in what seemed a harmless way in February 2006. By March it became quite bad. The physiotherapist treatment of ultrasound along with the exercise did help but it was still very bad. Nights were a real nightmare. I would get up in the middle of the nght pain with severe pain and would just keep tossing with the pain till mornng.

I met a specailist physiptherapist who added a few exercises. This definitely helped with the range of movement. The day time pain almost went away and the nights were better. But the improvement hit a plateau. It would not improve beyond a point.

"HI,

Just amazing,I use the manual 5 days a week, 15 minutes a day. I started 4 weeks ago. I noticed improvement after the 3rd day. I have calcification in the tendons by the rotator cuff. I went to specialist 6 weeks ago after the pain became unbearable from lifting weights and taking exercise classes five days a week. The mri showed the calcification. I started PT immediately. The pain subsided 15% during the day. At night I was still sleeping only 3 hours. I was ready for arthroscopic when I 'googled' and found your manual. I decided to try it for 2 weeks and then determine my course of action.

Within 1 week , the pain subsided 50% during the day, 20% at night. After 2 weeks 75% during the day, 40% at night. After 3 weeks 90% during the day, 75% at night. This week 99% during the day, 85% at night. I also stopped going to PT and work out again 5 days a week taking exercise classes which combine aerobics and strengthening, 1 hour each of the 5 days. I have reduced the weight by 25% and still get a great workout.
